🏡 Hackettstown, NJ — Pool Deck, Patio, and Outdoor Kitchen Oasis

This full-scale backyard renovation began with a complete demolition of an outdated patio, outdoor kitchen, and pool surround. Once cleared, our crew handled critical utility updates, including:

• New underground drainage system to divert roof runoff safely away from the home
• Electrical service for the pool house and kitchen
• Propane line installation for the outdoor kitchen
• New pool lighting and grounding system

To ensure lasting structural integrity, we laid a woven soil stabilization fabric beneath a 6” base of compacted ¾” clean stone. A concrete slab and footings provided a stable foundation for a new outdoor kitchen and custom pergola.

Over 4,000 sq ft of Cambridge Ledgestone XL pavers were installed with a Roundtable 6x9 border, creating a refined and durable surface. Pavers were precision-cut around the pergola posts for a seamless finish. We wrapped up by refreshing surrounding beds with mulch and restoring lawn areas with seed and straw.

This multi-phase transformation in Long Valley spanned three seasons, starting with the front yard and finishing in the back with a complete outdoor living experience.

Phase 1: Front Yard Curb Appeal

We removed overgrown plantings and installed a new gutter drainage system to protect the foundation. Weed barrier fabric was placed beneath all planting beds, and a new landscape design by FBL brought in fresh plant material. We finished with low-voltage lighting to softly illuminate the walkway and facade.

Phase 2: Backyard Infrastructure

The existing patio was removed to prepare for a brand-new layout. We installed a full drainage system, natural gas lines for a future kitchen and fire pit, and electrical wiring for a Jacuzzi and lighting features.

Phase 3: Outdoor Living Experience

We built retaining and seating walls, a custom gas fire pit, and installed a concrete foundation for a cantilevered pergola and full outdoor kitchen. With high-end stainless steel appliances and a granite countertop, the space came to life. We laid down 1,500 sq ft of Cambridge Ledgestone Smooth pavers with a 6x9 Roundtable border and completed the build with landscape lighting, plantings, mulch, and lawn restoration.
